Dr Shahed Islam provides private cardiology consultations at the Circle Reading Hospital, the Spire Dunedin Hospital and the Syon Clinic in London. His clinical expertise spans interventional cardiology, cardiovascular imaging, heart failure and heart rhythm management. He also provides expert advice on preventive cardiology with focus on hypertension and lipid management.

He holds a substantive NHS consultant cardiologist appointment at the Royal Berkshire Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. He is the lead for cardiac rehabilitation working closely with hospital and community colleagues to achieve the best outcomes for patients after any major cardiac event. He is heavily involved with education of the next generation of medical doctors. He is an honorary senior lecturer at the Brunel Medical School.

Dr Islam approaches every consultation with compassion, taking time to understand the individual patient concerns before mutually agreeing on a bespoke care plan. Patients are kept fully informed and involved at every stage of their care journey.
